Queens Quay Kiosk

An exciting new addition has arrived on Belfast’s waterfront with the opening of the Queens Quay Kiosk. Located between the Odyssey Arena and the Lagan Weir pedestrian bridge, the new coffee kiosk is part of ongoing plans to develop Belfast’s historic waterfront as a vibrant and connected experience.

The state-of-the-art kiosk will meet the demand in this busy area which is integral to plans for the ongoing regeneration of Belfast’s waterfront. Queens Quay is situated along the Maritime Mile and benefits from high levels of footfall, estimated at over three million annually, including leisure walkers, cyclists, workers, students, residents and visitors.

The Queen’s Quay kiosk is set to become a key landmark on the Maritime Mile with its coloured sails, striking design, and a welcoming atmosphere. The kiosk will be operated by Native Coffee and will offer an inviting “coffee and bake” menu, and also provide a platform for local crafters, artists, and small businesses to showcase and sell their artisan products.

Adding to its unique appeal, the kiosk features five portraits by local artist Terry Bradley. The works have been inspired by the hardworking men and women of industrial Belfast, and are accompanied by personal stories from former dockers, offering visitors a glimpse into the city’s rich maritime heritage.

The kiosk is complemented by new planting and seating recently installed by Maritime Belfast, with plans to further enhance the area as a key gateway on the Maritime Mile.

The kiosk is an example of how collaboration drives creative, community-focused projects.

Funded by Department for Communities, through the Covid Revitalisation Programme, Belfast City Council  managed the kiosk’s delivery, with design by MMAS Architects and OGU Architects. Maritime Belfast now owns and manages the kiosk, ensuring its role as a hub of activity along the waterfront.
